Hello My Fellow Alumni!!!!

It�s hard to believe we are quickly approaching the 50^th anniversary of our high school graduation. But 50 years it has been and what a ride. From the assassination of several of our great leaders, including John and Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and the horrific day of 9/11, to the election of our Nation�s first Black President . . . yes, it has been quite a ride!

The Class of 1959 is putting together a weekend of events where we can get together, remember and reflect. It will be a time to see how our high school classmates have changed, share what�s happened to us and our fellow classmates over the last 50 years, as well as reminisce about the �good old days� at the Rock and the Castle. (Remember American Bandstand and the Belmead Hop?)

We have begun planning a fun-filled weekend to celebrate our 50^th Reunion for all the St. Francis/St. Emma family. The events will be held in Richmond, VA at the Richmond Downtown Marriott Hotel July 30-August 3, 2009. ROOM COST is $103.51 including taxes and the first night parking, per room, is complimentary. Please make sure you adhere to deadline(s) in order to avoid a $25.00 late fee.

Our 50^th Reunion happens only once, so we�re sure this is one event you will not want to miss. We have planned a wide range of activities . . . lunch and Mass at Belmead, a tour of St. Francis, BBQ and Old Skool Dance at the home of Frederick Pryor �58 (bring your horseback riding gear, tennis rackets, and swim attire), Las Vegas style Casino night, dinner, and dance.
